Just seven days prior to the one-year anniversary of his tragic and untimely death, John Ritter's widow (actress Amy Yasbeck) filed a wrongful-death suit against the doctors and hospital that treated him after he fell ill on the set of his sit-com 8 SIMPLE RULES. While the suit does not state a dollar amount, it does ask for damages due to (among other things) loss of earnings, inheritance, love, affection, the hospital expenses, funeral expenses, etc. The suit filed is 19 pages, to which we add Ritter's death certificate.
